Locomotive runs good. It shows original paint with some paint wear but no repaints or touchups. Cars show original paint with no repaint or touchups. They show paint loss, scuffing, and some small dings. Engine and some of the cars show some remnants of cardboard stuck to them. In the pictures it might look like paint, but those spots are actually cardboard remnants. I guess they might clean off without any problem if you take to carefully remove them. I don't think those small pieces of cardboard were stuck with glue. The set was probably stored inside a cardboard box. The box must have gotten wet, and some of the cardboard adhered to the set.
