Description: I picked this up at an estate sale, it was definitely the gem of the day. This is WW1 era 1912-1918 Stanley Spoke Shave no 71, the logo on the iron is known as the V trademark also called Victory and directly preceded the sweetheart era of Stanley tools. This tool is in excellent condition with little signs of use and for that matter even dirt. I did not clean this tool, it is as I found it, all the adjustments/screws turn easily through their normal range. These come up for sale very infrequently and there isn't a ton of data on sold comps however a few have sold for around $300 even without the guide.
