Description: Hello, I will support your music life from Japan.I will do my utmost for the service you satisfy. Item Description Steinberger XL-2 /1983 (1983) Steinberger XL-2 /1983 This is a used Steinberger "XL-2" pot date from 1983s. Steinberger is famous for its headless structure and neck made of a synthetic material that mixes carbon and graphite, but it has actually been a subsidiary of Gibson since 1987, and then moved its factory to Nashville. After that, various things happened and it was not produced for a while, but after many years of silence, a new model was released in 2006, and currently only the Spirit of the Cost Performance series seems to be continuing to be produced. This model is probably produced at the Newburgh factory just before the factory was relocated to Nashville. Steinberger's signature synthetic necks are famous for being completely unaffected by temperature and humidity, so they do not warp at all, and the early versions did not have a truss rod. This is because no adjustments are required. However, it seems that after the factory move, the specifications have been changed to ones with rods. Steinberger is exactly the model with the initial specifications. The body and neck are formed as one piece, and the body is hollow and the pickup and other assemblies are mounted on a plastic lid placed over it. The structure is unbelievable now, but the sound is very good. Two EMGs are mounted on the pickup. Although it is an active circuit, there is no EQ, and it has a simple specification of 2 volumes and 1 tone. The synthetic material body, commonly known as a "lunch box", is quite heavy and compact, but it feels surprisingly sturdy and comfortable to hold. Not only this XL-2, but I often see bassists in reggae bands using Steinbergers, and the sound is tight and has a solid impression. The bass sounds solid in any position. There is a brand that was acquired by Gibson, but although the Steinberger brand itself still exists, it seems that they are no longer in production at all, so it seems that we will see fewer and fewer used products in the future. Even without such rarity, it's a very good bass, and you'll be able to play it for a long time. ======================================== This product has undergone basic maintenance and cleaning, so it is ready to play immediately!
