Description: Thai hard-carved toucansculpture figurine, vintage. Even the base and bottoms of its feet (claws?) arecarved and painted. Kept for almost 20 years atop a bookcase out of directsunlight, so red, yellow, and blue colors are fully vibrant. Hand-painted, too,which you can see in tiny idiosyncrasies here and there. The bird's bottom isnot entirely flat, so it wobbles a little; I always found that part of itsunique charm. Weight cited is anestimate of box and packing materials; bird itself is 1 lb., 10 oz., so it'spretty lightweight dark wood under the wiped-paint treatment. Sticker on bottom reads,"Made in Thailand.
