Description: This is the Original (1sh) 1957 movie poster THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN. It was used by Universal International to promote this movie when it was released in 1957. This movie poster is not a reprint nor a reproduction. The movie stars Grant Williams, Randy Stuart, April Kent, Paul Langton, Raymond Bailey, and Orangey as "Butch the Cat". The movie was directed by Jack Arnold. This original poster has Reynold Brown artwork. This restored movie poster is Rolled and linen backed and measures 27 x 41". With linen backing it measures approximately 1/2" extra all around the borders. If you need exact dimensions with the linen we would be happy to provide those to you, but I forgot to take measurements before I re-wrapped the poster and stored it in inventory. Prior to restoration this poster was Folded. Most original movie posters pre-1985 are Folded. This is not considered a flaw or a defect. This original movie poster is graded C8.5 Very Fine to Near Mint. Original movie posters are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc. It is hard to find any original movie posters pre-1985 in C10 Mint condition. In addition, we go by one industry standard that any restored original movie poster shall not be graded higher than a C8.5. Prior to being restored, this original movie poster was graded a C8.5 as the existing flaws prior to restoration were very minor. Restoration did correct pinholes in the corners and Fold wear. The poster now displays beautifully. The minor flaws we found after restoration -described above - were only found after very close inspection under bright light. They are unobtrusive to the incredible appearance of the poster. We feel that the original 1957 movie poster THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN has excellent investment value.
