Item #312039 William Dudley Pelley (1890-1965) was a fascist political agitator and occultist whose opposition to military recruitment led to his arrest for sedition during World War II. He ran for president in 1936 as the candidate for the Christian Party, which he founded, and published metaphysical writings about his alleged out-of-body experiences. Pelley also founded an organization called the Silver Legion to drum up American support for Hilter's anti-Semitic policies. Later in life, he developed a religious-philosophical system he dubbed "Soulcraft" involving UFOs and aliens.
