Description: People love vinyl records, as they have made a comeback over the last ten to fifteen years or so. In fact, new vinyl records now sell more than CDs, for the first time since the 80s, (when CDs first became mass produced). And these sales figures for vinyl do not even factor in the sales of used vinyl! Many music fans also love picture discs and colored vinyl records. Today we feature three 12" picture discs, from three drastically different artists, and each one has great artwork on them! We'll start with a band called ___. As in 'blank'. No name. The name of this record? It's titled 'This Cover Was Left Intentionally Blank'. I won't lie, I don't know much about this project at all, but it IS produced by Steve Albini, who produced Nirvana, and also worked with The Pixies, The Breeders, TAD, and many more. Strange artwork on both sides of this one. Included is a clear plastic sheet with the names of the musicians who guested on this record. Vinyl looks new, and is still shiny and clean. Clear sheet has a couple of flaws, but still in good condition. Jacket has some wear, but holding up and still intact. Next up is a band called Baroness. That are a stoner metal band from Savannah, GA. They formed in 2003, so together for over TWENTY years now! In 2015, the band released their fourth studio album and called it 'Purple'. (Not to be confused with the album from Stone Temple Pilots, also named 'Purple'.) Baroness names their albums colors, and always has amazing artwork. For 'Purple', they released four singles in 12" jackets. And those four singles covers make up one big version of the 'Purple' album cover! (Look up each single, you'll see what I mean.) This fourth single is titled "Morningstar", and has strange artwork on one side, and the band logo and song title on the B side. In its original jacket. Vinyl is shiny and clean. Jacket has a very small amount of wear, but nothing bad. We'll end with a roulette picture disc from Berni Flint. It's for the song "Beautiful Loser", which is on the A side (the roulette wheel side). The B side track is called "Dance With Me". Not sure who Berni Flint is, but I picked this up because I thought the roulette wheel looked cool! From 1979. The record itself looks alright, but has a few light surface marks on both sides. I can't vouch for the sound quality as I never play specialty vinyl such as pic discs or colored records. But a really nice late 70s picture disc to collect! Grab these three 12" picture discs before someone else beats you to it! Vinyl is red hot these days, and people are getting creative with decorating ideas using picture discs and colored vinyl records. This three piece set is available now, and for a really nice price!
