Making of the plate includes using nitric acid, hard and soft ground to etch my drawing into a zinc metal plate. After 40-80 hours of working the plate, it is ready to hold the ink to make an etching. When I have completed the plate I hand ink and pull it on my etching press each time for each individual print. After the ink has dried I hand color each one with water color and sign. This process makes each one an original. – Cathey December
