First published in 1938, it was largely rewritten and entirely redrawn in 1958 to join other titles in the famous 'Little Tim' series. This is a first edition/printing of the new version. In this story Lucy and Tim set sail in the Evangeline with Lucy's guardian Mr Grimes and his housekeeper. On their voyages they rescue a raft of shipwrecked sailors who turn out to be 'a villainous lot'' and the cause of an adventure at sea. This is an excellent copy of a classic Little Tim story, written and illustrated by Edward Ardizzone.
