Description: On October 20, 1928, the USPS issued a stamp to honor Molly Pitcher at the Battle of Monmouth 150 years earlier. The stamp was overprinted on an existing 2 cent George Washington stamp, and was issued in Red Bamk, New Jersey and two other cities. This is a FDC of a block of 4 of the Molly Pitcher overprint, addressed and on an air mail envelope. It also has a cancel in Chicago the next day on the back. This historic cover would make a great gift for any FDC collector or history enthusiast. Check the scans for details.
