Description: Vintage 1940s Black Silk Rayon Drop Waist Dress Long Sleeve Stitch Pleats AS IS. Here we have an authentic 1940s black silk rayon dress. It is long sleeved and falls just below the knee. I has a slightly dropped waist. Asymmetrical stitch pleats from the right shoulder to the waist and the left hip to the waist create shape for the dress. The sleeves are 3/4 length with light shoulder padding. There is 6" metal zipper at the center back neckline. The zipper is very rusted and missing a few teeth, making it unusable. Another zipper is located on the left side seam. This zipper works but is slightly rusted. There are belt loops but the original belt is no longer included. This dress is in fair vintage condition. In addition to the issues noted above, there are two half inch sized holes on the left thigh that are surrounded be more smaller holes. There is some discoloration due to sun damage on the tops of the shoulders and neckline. This piece is sold as is and has been priced according to the issues.
