Description: Rare Vintage 1946 Henry Selmer Depose' Grand Prix model 22 Trumpet. Trumpet is raw brass w/some original mild spots of lacquer still remaining. Serial number stamped on the valve above Henry Selmer Logo is ( 5723). Valves are stamped 88, 89, 90. And the mouthpiece receiver is stamped BB MB LP 22. Making this wonderful trumpet by Henry Selmer a B flat, medium bore, low pitch, number 22. The serial number on this trumpet denotes a early model trumpet made by Henry Selmer in France. These early models seem to have magnificent tonal characteristics, and a wonderful rich mellow sound. Valves are not stuck, and still have good pop. Bell does need some minor repair, and with a refurbishing this would be a great addition for any Collector to own. Adding to this great find and making it even rarer is the Original Case this beautiful Henry Selmer Trumpet came in. Mouthpiece included is a Parduba and Sons, made in New York-- 4 1/2 Dbl. Cup.
