Description: Vintage PREMIER BOBBY UNSER RACING HELMET from the 1970's. Bobby Unser was part of the Unser racing family (brother of Al Unser). He won the Indianapolis 500 three times (1968, 1975, 1981) and many other races (California 500, Pikes Peak Hill Climb, etc). This helmet is in good/okay vintage used condition with normal wear from use/age. It has some scuffs, scratches, dirty marks and a few dings/chips in the paint, etc. (see pics) and there are two areas (one on each side of helmet) where the paint is melted. The helmet is White with Yellow, Orange & Blue stripes on it. There are two PREMIER stickers on it (one on front and one on back near middle stripes) and it says BOBBY UNSER and has his Eagle Logo on both sides. Still has great coloring. Strap looks good and is marked P P I 555. The inside lining looks decent but is loose in areas. Inside is a 1970 SNELL tag. This helmet was purchased at the Pomona Auto Swap back in the late 1980’s, and the seller told me that it was given to him by Bobby Unser. I have no paperwork & can’t guarantee but great story.
