Description: Vintage Art Deco Atwater Kent Model 456 AM/SW tombstone radio that is in working condition. Once the tubes warm up, the radio is able to receive stations on the AM band with the attached antenna and the sound is strong and clear, but there is static background noise. All of the knobs turn smoothly and properly, but the dial indicator works properly as well. The grill cloth is in excellent condition (appears to be a period replacement) with no fraying or holes. The power cord is in great condition, still plyable. The finish on the radio appears to have redone at some point and presents well, and has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax. The outside plastic dial lens cover is missing, but the inside glass cover is present. The dial bulbs are not functioning. The radio presents quite well and will be a fine addition to any collection.
