Description: This is a vintage Case 6279 SS “Senator Penknife” pattern pocket knife.The tang stamp is CASE XX STAINLESS USA 8 dot 1972.The knife is 3 1/8” closed with nickel silver liners and pinned oval CASE shield.Stainless steel blades.The blades each have strong snap, no wobble. Chestnut bovine bone handles with great color.The handles have no cracks or damage.A MINT knife, never sharpened, carried, or cleaned. Original factory finish and edges.Included is a scarce vintage Case “pumpkin” box that originally held six of the 6279 SS pattern. This pattern is hard to find in the 1970’s stamps with bovine bone handles, as in the mid to later 70’s all were made with Delrin handles.
