Description: Antique Gonset (Model unknown, S/N# unknown) Tri-Band Frequency Converter, it is an unusual, rare, and a nicely constructed RF frequency converter used for covering the 2, 6, and 10 Meters Ham Radio Bands. This was used in conjunction with a shortwave receiver (Not included) to extend its coverage to the new (back then) 2, 6, and 10 Meter Ham Radio bands. It operates on 120VAC 50/60Hz power and had 8 vacuum tubes including the Voltage Regulator tube. It is old and rare. 3 of the tubes are “Loctal” types. This item appears to have been manufactured in the middle – late 1940’s – early 1950’s (as a best guess). The line cord was deteriorated so someone cut it off, other than that, it appears to be complete except possibly for a back cover that may or may not have existed. I am unable to test this item. The chassis appears to be unmolested and looks quite decent.I could not find any information regarding this exact item on the internet. This item appears to be in fair overall physical and cosmetic condition as judging condition is subjective.Since I have no way to test this item and since this item is over 70 years old, it is being sold for PARTS or REPAIRS per eBay protocol, and as USED, Strictly, AS-IS. The pictures form part of the description.
