Description: Early 1960 edition. Heavy body marked Barbie TM pat pend, MCMLVIII, by Mattel Inc on right hip. Stamped Japan under right foot. Later 1960 was marked Mattel with R in circle. Transitional body because no lightening, fading to ivory or white. Has flocked head under brunette hair. The # 3 was the last to have this. Body has no splits, scratches or bite marks. Original black, white striped swimsuit . No sunglasses, no earrings but absolutely no green on ears. Blue iris eyes, blue liner, brown eyebrows, red lips, fingernails and toe polish in excellent condition. Includes open toe heels with no splits and a wire stand. Adult owned and treasured.
