Vintage Kenwood KA-3700 and KT-5300 Amplifier/Tuner Combination. EXCELLENT COND

Description: Vintage Kenwood KA-3700 Integrated Amplifier & KT-5300 Tuner Combination w/ RCA Interconnect. Don't let the modest output of this 20 WPC Kenwood fool you. These little guys are known for their warm and clean sound with enough grunt to drive larger/efficient speakers to near ear-bleeding levels in the proper listening space. I happen to like the under 50 WPC units personally and this one did not disappoint me. Both units are in perfect working condition, have few cosmetic (very few on the amplifier) imperfections and have been serviced and well cared. The tuner is pretty much left as it was since it works just fine, but I have made a few adjustments. I have been running them daily since July with ZERO issues. Below is a list of all services and parts that have been replaced.KA-3700: All controls / switched have been cleaned, (8) QM1-QM8 transistors replaced, (4) output transistor emitter resistors replaced, various corroded jumper wiring, (4) OE spec fuses, (4) output transistor mica insulators with goop, factory Kenwood side panels modified from my KR-4400 with new walnut veneer, (2) variable 250ohm trimmer pots and (2) 470ohm resistors have been added for idle current adjustment capabilities (currently set at around 35-40mA), (4) binding posts have replaced the OE screw in style speaker terminal jacks. PLEASE NOTE: ALL CAPACITORS ARE ORIGINAL AND HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED. I left them this way as they were purchased along with the 16ohm CS-51 micro speakers I have listed. The chances of any prior abuse, as I figure, are slim to none considering the modest output, high impedance and type of media typically associated with this type of gear. KT-5300: New 8v/200mA dial bulbs, black contact tape covering the original grey dial backing plate, polished acrylic dial cover and the tuning strength meter to remove yellowing and scuff marks, replaced the power cord with a non-polarized 16 awg type, all controls cleaned. ***I DO NOT HAVE SIDE PANELS FOR THE TUNER.
