The primary lighting shines upward, but there are slits in the leaveas on the side to emit ambient light as well. See photos. Measurements: 12" Height x 6-1/2" Width (at Flared Top). Base Width is 5-3/4". It weighs 4 lbs. Condition: The light works. The electric cord is old and aged and the lamp would benefit from re-wiring. There are a few scuffs on the black base. The thin cardboard protective base cover is starting to separate from the ceramic and may not be needed. See photos.
