Description: Incredible example of Pewabic glaze pottery that has been in a private collection for the last 45 years. The mellow, layered, iridescent glaze has an array of colors that simply GLOW. I have taken pictures in full sun and also shade for comparison. Marked as shown with an incised mark, I am unable to decipher. Measures about 6" tall with an approx diameter of 7" at it's widest. As shown, the white glaze on the top section has some wear, these are glaze flakes, NO chips or chunks in the stoneware. There is also a small hairline on the INSIDE bottom as shown. Item is heavy and secure and when rapped, there is no tell-tale rattle one would hear if there was an actual crack. Truly a work of American Art and will be shipped securely.
