Description: Queen sized Vintage Quilt that is Hand Quilted! I believe it was made in 1960-1970s. An incredible patchwork of 357 three inch Squares in the center - 17x21 rows - with 4 borders surrounding it. I believe this pattern is Trip Around the World. 1st border is green and is 3/4 inch wide, next is floral and is 1 1/2 inches wide, third is green with small white stars and is 2 1/2 inches wide and last is a soft floral of large roses and leaves and is 8 inches wide. The binding is almost one inch wide in a soft peach. These are some of the most calming soft colors I've EVER seen. Soft peach, pale green, beige and off white. It measures 96 x 82 inches. The photos were taken on my king size bed. It is hand quilted. It is very clean. The backing is a super soft off white. There is an old spot on backing on the side that looks like an iron was laid on it, see last pictures. The rest of the backing looks very clean. The front is in very good vintage condition with no stains or holes. It has been well loved and washed more than once. It has lots of love and cuddles left to give. Quilt weighs 4 1/2 pounds. A lovely weight for such a large quilt. It was washed before I bought it at a lovely estate sale in Clearwater, Florida. Smells, feels and looks freshly laundered.
