It has not been used at all in the last few years so some Minor adjustments may be necessary.The advantage of the Modern Selmer Reference 54 is the improved mechanics. This has the Modern edge of improvement over the classic vintage instruments. It’s faster, smoother andMore versatile. It can be used for Bebop jazz or legit classical music. A change in the reed and mouthpiece will convert this from bebop to Beethoven. I believe an alternate neck can be purchased as well.Selmer also tells us that the intonation is better as a result of theLonger body.
