VINTAGE WAECHTERSBACH CHRISTMAS TREE 2 TIERED TIDBIT TRAY W. GERMANY EXC.

Description: Vintage Waechtersbach "Christmas Tree" 2 tiered Tidbit Tray which is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, discoloration, etc. Note: there is a very very tiny spot on rim of top plate where glaze didn't quite cover completely (it is a glaze flaw, not a chip) ; however, it's very difficult to see - look at last photo. This is a very practical and useful piece for Christmas entertaining or just for keeping cookies out at Christmas time. The upper plate is about 7 3/4 inches in diameter and the lower plate is just over 10 inches in diameter. Assembled the piece is 10 1/2 inches tall. It has brass/gold tone metal handle parts which are in perfect condition (the piece will be shipped disassembled; however, it is very easy to reassemble). This is an older piece made in West Germany (see mark on bottom), so it predates 1990. I have priced at a fraction of resale and replacement sites (most sell for over $110.00!! This design features the iconic Waechtersbach "Christmas Tree" pattern of a bright green Christmas tree with white decorations on a brilliant red background. Waechtersbach was noted for their beautful brilliant high fired glazes and high quality. They began production in 1832 in Brachttal, Germany and were in business until 2011.
