Description: VTG 1946 Zenith Universal Long Distance PORTABLE Tube AM Radio No.6G001Y WORKS! Estate find, tested and works WELL! Slight humming at first, once it warms up loud and clear. In Good vintage condition, well maintained! The inside is clean, tubes light up. Plug may have been updated? Still a vintage cord and plug, however it is white? Has a plug for an OLD TIME battery, wiring has been taped, looks good untested with battery. Case is sturdy with a handle top, front has Zenith Latch. The front cover opens to ZENITH display on top. Back pulls open for plug, battery compartment and tube chassis. There are some scuffs tears in the leather cover on the wood case, and a little age. The metal around the knobs has paint loss from use. However it looks great for its age, and plays well! Please see all pictures for the best description. Thank you!
