Description: Vintage Carmelite Nuns Handmade Glazed Ceramic 7 Pc Nativity Set 70s 80s + Creche * Estate sale find in Dallas * This is a super rare set that you won't find very often * I contacted the Carmelite Nuns of Arlington, and they gave me background information about this set * This was handmade by the Nuns in the 1970's to early 1980's * This was made in their former Ft Worth monestary, before they moved in 1984 to their current Arlington location * This is glazed ceramic set which includes Joseph, Mary, the Baby Jesus in a separate manger, a shepard, and two lambs. * The wooden manger came with the set, but was NOT provided or made by the nuns * Each ceramic piece has a "Carmelite Nuns, Ft Worth" sticker on it. (Except for Baby Jesus) * PLEASE NOTE: the manger broke when putting up the pieces from photographing them. (See last 2 photos) * The first photo shows the set before the manger broke. * If you turn the manager away, it can still be used. Or you can look for a wooden replacement. * No other damage to any of the other ceramic pieces. No chips, cracks, or damage to anything else. * The wooden manger needs to have two of the top slats re-nailed to the top, as they have come loose. * Will pack carefully for shipping
