This is the OLD STYLE screw. Some of the newer guns require a TAPERED "new style" screw that ONLY FITS the newer rifles. I have some listed in our other items titled, "Winchester Model 94 Post 1964 Front Band Tapered Screw - NEW STYLE - P/N 18794X" All parts sold must be checked, installed, and assembled by a qualified and competent gunsmith as some components may or may not require fitting depending on the tolerances allowed by the manufacturer, vintage, and potential re-manufacturer (if an aftermarket piece).
