All my items were acquired when I lived in Japan for over ten years. I heavily collected Japanese medals (my personal collection and what I know well) during that time and purchased many big medal lots at flea markets, estate sales, and antique stores. When buying these medal lots, there were also often a lot of other military-related goods that also came with them. That is how I obtained this item. I'm not nearly an expert in these items as I am in medals. I do not sell any items that are obviously reproductions (many soldiers would commission displays for their homes, sometimes using their own uniform and other times using reproductions - it's usually pretty easy to spot these), and the rest I'm selling to those who would appreciate them more than I do.
