WWII GERMAN FIGHTING KNIFE?MARKED STERN SOLINGEN GERMANY NO.27 GERMAN SHEATH

Description: Please note I am NOT an expert on knives at all, so all this information is just my opinion, you'll have to be the judge of this fantastic collector's item for yourself. Let me first start off saying , I do not know what year this was made it could be World War II, it could be earlier it could be later , I just want to be upfront with you, I do not know that's just a guess , but either way This is a fantastic German knife . This German knife is marked and says, right on there, STERN SOLINGEN GERMANY , it says FORGED ST , I believe it's would have said steel but that part has faded , and on the other side it says No. 27. This fantastic item looks like it has a wood handle, which is extremely well made , there's absolutely no shaking in the knife or handle, which is fantastic, and an extremely well made knife in my opinion. The knife has an original sticker on there i believe, at least it looks original to me . I can't make out what it says it looks like it says Garantie? but I can't be for sure, and it's got a star or what looks like a star on the sticker. the same emblem looks like it's on the sheath too, which is really cool. This knife is also got , I believe the original little button that says SOLINGEN GERMANY on it , which is really cool (see ALL pictures).. The sheath itself says made in Germany at the top . the button that connects the knife to the sheath is broken it's there , but it's NOT WORKING AT ALL , just want to be up front with you. The leather sheath looks like it's all there except for the button part at the top. Now this is a used item it does have scratches, Nicks, dings, discoloration,and could be missing parts, but that's all to be expected for as old as this knife is....this item was found on the east coast of the United States, this is EXACTLY the way I found it , I didn't try to clean it up ,I didn't try do anything to it whatsoever , this item will clean up really really nicely , if that's what you choose to do ,or you can just leave it alone , and add it to a really cool collection. I'm going to start the bidding off low , cuz I hope this goes to a great collector who can really enjoy this item as I did , and if you have any information regarding what year this could be, I would love to hear from you, if you have the time .
