Yaesu FTDX-9000 Contest 200-watt HF 1.8-50MHz Amateur HAM Radio Transceiver

Description: This is a Yaesu FT DX-9000 Contest 200-watt HAM Amateur Radio Transceiver. Serial Number: 5N080023, there's a PEP9000 sticker on the back as well which I believe relates to changes and enhancements made over model years. It appears to be in very nice shape all around with minor dings on some edges, no major damage seen during a visual inspection around the chassis. On the bottom some of the felt-pads on the stands shifted a little, but they are firmly stuck in place so they don't appear to be at risk of peeling off. There is plenty of information on this unit on the internet, please refer to those pages for any questions on features and functionality of the unit as I am definitely not an expert. The user manual can be found and downloaded online as well. I do not deal with transmitters or transceivers very often but I have sold FM transmitters in the past and have a little knowledge on how to test the output using a watt-meter and dummy-load so please excuse the absence of any details or incorrect terminology. I've seen different variations of the unit and I understand the "Contest" model has many features being optional, so if there is something I need to pop the top or bottom cover off to check let me know, otherwise the front & back panels are of the unit showing which modules are installed on it. All knobs, buttons and displays appear to be in great shape. I connected one of my dummy antennas to the #1 output and powered the unit on. I connected a watt-meter between the unit and the dummy load and was able to see that it transmitted properly. I tested at 60-watt and then used the RF Gain knob to move up to 200-watt and the meter moved accordingly on the unit as well as my watt-meter. I did that very briefly just to ensure that a signal was being transmitted out of the unit. After that I ran through the controls on the front panel to ensure that the knobs, buttons and display were functioning. Everything seemed great from that perspective, I don't have the expertise or knowledge to run through any detailed tests so if you want something performed let me know and I'll do my best to replicate it. Most of the buttons have an "audio beep" feedback and some controls have LED's that light up when the features are activated. I do not have any prior ownership history on the unit, when & if it was ever serviced, etc. That being said - it looks like it was a well-cared for unit. All connectors on the rear are in clean straight shape. All displays and meters look fantastic as well, a button on the unit controls the dimness making the unit usable in different lighting conditions. I do not have any accessories for the unit other then a standard power cord, the dummy-load/wattmeter pictured are not included and only depicted to show that the unit is transmitting. There is no microphone included, I did not receive one with the unit and according to research this unit supports a variety of different microphones depending on your needs. This is a HEAVY unit weighing just over 51 pounds. Dimensions are approximately 20.25" x 19" x 7.25" high. It will require a lot of padding around it for shipping so I will only ship this within the continental US. If you are local to the NJ area and want to check it out I have no problems with that. Please note that I will require extra handling time on this to pack it as I will need to obtain high-density foam to surround it along with a heavy-duty double-wall box for shipping to keep it safe during transit.
