Description: Description: A very good copy of the Harper and Brothers January 1920 1st Edition with the date code "A-U" on the copyright page in a scarce and Good+ unclipped dust jacket, and with a 6 3/4x 2 3/4" Bookmark Signed by Zane Grey in purple ink, with his photo and with a list of books ending at "The Man of the Forest." Condition: 12mo. 383pp. The book features a jacket illustration, frontispiece and three black-and-white plates in the text by Frank Tenney Johnson. Green cloth boards with rubbing to corner tips, softening to spine ends, some soiling to front cover and the spine with a crease along the spine. Foxing to outer page edges. Hinges are a bit loose. The scarce jacket is in good+ condition with the $1.90 price on the spine. Chipping to folds and spine ends and the lower 1/4 of the spine has been re-attached and repaired using acid free document tape. Overall a very good copy with the scarce jacket and the extremely rare signed bookmark with the directions to; "Detach the (photo and signature) above and paste in front of book."
